SUPPLIERS AND MANUFACTURERS CLAIM FORCE MAJEUR

Earlier this month we published a message about delivery times and prices. This week we are pleased to bring you more information on this subject.

Crastin

Recently, we understand that as early as July 2020, there were reports that Dupont* closed its plants in the united States, where Polymers and Resins are produced, and will keep them closed and had no prospect yet of when they will return to full production.

RAST series

At Lumberg Netherlands, the specific issue is the supply of the RAST connector series.

The scale of the supply problems for this series is very large and has global effects. At this moment we have no concrete indications when deliveries for the RAST connectors can be resumed.

*) Dupont is the manufacturer of various base polymers and resins such as the patented Crastin that is used as a semi-finished product in the plastic production of some Lumberg connectors that are used in, among others, the automotive industry and industrial automation.
